Patrice- Assignment #1 (Finally...)
- Roy Orbison- Crying
- He doesn't open his mouth at all
- It seems there there a lot of jaw tension
- there there is a bite to his sound comes from his lack of opening that holds the sound back
- His last few "crying"s, he opens more and it sounds more clear and free
- Judy Collins- Both Sides Now
- She looks a bit like Drew Berrymore
- She puts her sound on her tongue/lower mouth when she sings lower
- She opens more width wise rather than height
- Near the end of the song she sounds more tired vocally
- She is resonating just in her mouth, it doesn't really go past her lips because of her lack of opening
- Ivan Kozlovsky- Evening Bells
- I'm very confused how he is getting that sound with so little movement in his mouth
- He is a decent example of resonant space inside the mouth, creating space with the jaw but not technically needing to open the mouth a ton
- It does seem there something missing, a depth that could be achieved with a wider opening
- Piotr Beczala- Sänger des Jahres
- He closes his mouth a lot with consonants that could be done without moving the jaw
- I love how much he opens his mouth, but it seems like he is working a lot
- It looks exhausting how his jaw is moving
- He opens with great height, but at the end of his notes he widens quite a bit too
